Our dogs and cats are important members of our family. When they are sick or injured we want to make the best choice for their care. Unfortunately, sometimes financial concerns get in the way. Insuring your pet is the best way to plan for your pet’s future health. Dog insurance and cat insurance cannot protect your pet from injury or illness. But insuring your pet means that if something unforeseen happens, you and your vet can concentrate on giving them the best possible care instead of worrying about the financial aspects.

Petsecure plans have renewable limits for care. This means your pet is covered for each accident instead of an entire calendar year. Illnesses are covered per year, but renew each year as long as your pet maintains an active enrollment in Secure for Life. This is great news for pets that seem to always find trouble or pets with chronic health issues. With no lifetime coverage cap, your pet is protected year after year.
The Secure for Life pet insurance plan offers four levels of coverage. Level one is the basic policy for cat insurance or dog insurance. At each level, the financial coverage increases. Secure for Life Level 4 even covers preventive care costs and has no financial cap on accident and illness coverage. But all levels cover vet fees incurred by accidents or illness.
Claims System
Petsecure has made filing claims simple and easy. If you need to take your pet to the vet for care, you pay your vet in full at the time of service. Then ask your vet to fill out the claim paperwork and sign it. Once it is completed and signed, send it to use via mail, fax, or email. Once your claim is received and processed (usually after just 7-10 days), Petsecure will send you a check in the mail. For faster claims processing, you can use email combined with direct deposit into your banking account.
Petsecure Customer Service
If you have any questions, even on Saturdays, the Petsecure customer service team is available to help you via phone or email. The company is also active on several social media including Facebook and Twitter, two channels through which you can get in touch with its customer support people as well.

They are very slow in processing claims and repeatedly say submissions are incomplete. For example, on my last claim, I received a note a month later saying I had not submitted an “itemised receipt” even though what I sent did list all necessary items. I then sent the receipt again – twice – and still, 6 weeks later, have not received payment.
I called the company: they apologised and said they would process the claim. This would not be so bad if it were an isolated incident, but it happens with depressing regularity. On the other hand, Petsecure has no difficulty relieving me of my monthly payments with depressing regularity – no delays there!

Petsecure has been amazing to deal with , its been almost 2 years and not once have we had an issue – claims are processed quickly and painless-I have a gentle giant that doesn’t know his own strength that has needed a few stitches as well as a pretty serious CCL surgery and pet secure has not let me or my fur baby down! thank you! I have only had to call in once about a couple questions and it was the best customer service, so I am one very happy customer!

Absolutely the biggest scam I have ever seen. The worst company I have ever seen. The worst customer service employees I have ever seen.
They will not pay out a single dollar, or let me rephrase that – if you submit claims, they will all be rejected, for some other reason that they will lie about.
Then, of course, you will owe your money on vet bills – plus have to pay Petsecure’s monthly deductible.
